Time to rebuild the foundation

We usually find Egypt-based NBC Foreign Correspondent Ayman Mohyeldin reporting on unrest in the Middle East.
When I saw him file a story from Mount Vernon, the site of the Skagit bridge (that I drive over almost every week) collapse in the same broadcast as a segment that stated “West Texas is one pocket of the country where entire counties lack even a single health care provider”, I couldn’t help but to think what $2 trillion spent in Iraq and Afghanistan could have done for the homeland.
